The hollyhocks are swaying ever so slightly in the breeze. A few song birds let us know they are here too. It's a grey day. Rain is expected but while the sun shines, I drink in the bright flowers standing tall, open to the sky, welcoming the bees.
The thyme is in full blossom now - the delicate flowers open in layers climbing up to the tippy top of their spires. The lavender pink of the thyme compliments the dark purple of the hollyhock beside it. Both bring each other more bees.
The breeze is picking up and tells me the rain will be here soon. It is a comfort to know that no matter my worries, nature continues, the bees come, the flowers open, the rain falls.
Where can you find stillness today?
