Walking in your footsteps

If you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you’ll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks.

You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”
– Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

I walked into the deer tracks and followed along to see what they foraged from the garden. Swiss chard, beet tops, lettuce. They didn’t like any of the onion, broccoli or cabbage - maybe that will come later into the season. And a certain section of the kale - not all of the kale plants but a certain three at the end of the row.

Walking in another’s footsteps is a choice of perspective, empathy, and imagination.

Whose steps are you walking in?
